To get this style on your own, first apply a straightening cream and heat protectant to damp hair.  Blow dry the hair completely using a large round brush to direct all hair straight and down. Next run a flat iron over the hair from roots to the ends to create an extra smooth finish.  Take small sections of hair in the crown area and gently backcomb them. Smooth over the top with your fingers.  Use hair spray to keep the bangs and hair in place.
